Health Services Specialist - Occupational Nurse

The Health Services Specialist provides medical and health management, delivery of health services and supports employees and family by overseeing progress through health care process. Oversees and implements health services to ill/injured employees, including workers' compensation, medical first response, and return-to-work and disability programs. Oversees all health services activities and programs. Manages the occupational health testing and surveillance, and employee wellness initiatives. Provides direct clinical care as needed and refers to appropriate external services providers. Works closely with site safety,human resources, operations and others in the identification and correction of risks and maintaining compliance with various federal and state regulations. Provides clinical knowledge and expertise to the organization, such as Family Medical Leave program. Assists employees and their family in understanding medical care and health risks and serves as an employee advocate in health care and treatment. Minimum of four (4) years' experience in occupational health, ergonomics, safety or other related subject required.
Minimum of five (5) years' experience in workers' compensation case management.
BS or BA in Nursing or a related field RN
Current state license in location of employment
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) or Certified Case Manager (CCM) or Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN) or Certified Insurance Rehabilitation Specialist (CIRS) or Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRD) desired
Nurse Practitioner preferred.
Demonstrates sound clinical judgment skills and understanding of nursing standards of practice. Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, industrial wellness programs and worker's compensation process and practices Knowledge of OSHA compliance requirements and other industrial safety and health standards

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
